The lighting on this fountain is BRIGHT and the water flow is very good -- I originally put it on my uncovered patio -- but when I saw how bright it was I put it on my covered porch - it provides a lot of light and the water reflections 'dance' on the porch ceiling and walls.

The fountain isn't SUPER noisy but has a gentle hum that is noticeable.

Absolutely love the fountain. Easy set up. I'm using it as the accent piece in my flower garden. Perfect size and the lights add a nice touch at night. If I was designing it, I'd have a switch for the lights so you could turn them off during the day.

Nice work, SimplyFountains!In the online photo, there is a horizontal line that shows up about 10 inches below the top that made me wonder if it would make the fountain look artificial. However, once it is set up and in place, the line isn't very noticeable. As others have said in their reviews, it would be nice to be able to control the speed of the pump, but this isn't a huge deal... pumps can be purchased locally for a few dollars that would add this feature. If anything, I find the water noise level too LOW! I like the sound of running water, especially at night. This fountain replaces a stone fountain that I had for nine years that broke and it is a very nice change. The lights are great! At night, they create a bouncing pattern off my patio as the water movement changes their reflection. My local hummingbirds, however, don't seem to trust the new watersource in my backyard yet... the lights are scaring them off, so far. This fountain is best suited for a location where the back is not prominantly seen. There are several powercords coming from the back - one for the pump and several more for the lights. In my setup, they are hidden by some potted plants, so it is no issue.
